10. Andreas Christensen is one of the 10 common Barca-Chelsea players

Christensen played for FC Chelsea (2014-22) and Barcelona (2022-present)

Andreas Christensen is one of the 10 common Barca-Chelsea players

Andreas Christensen is the most recent name in this list. Barcelona have been linked with three Chelsea players this year and Christensen finds first priority to wear the Barca outfit at Camp Nou. 

He started his career with Chelsea and made a return to the club in 2017 after a two-year loan spell. He won the Champions League title in 2021. He made 93 league appearances for the Blues. 

The defender has penned a four-year contract with the Catalan giants. He decided to not renew his contract his Chelsea and has been linked with a move to Camp Nou for the past few months.

9. Mark Hughes is one of the players who have played for Barca and Chelsea

Hughes played for Barça (1986-87) and Chelsea (1995-98)

Mark Hughes played for FC Barca from 1966-87. The English striker was one of the first English players to play in the La Liga for Barca. Hughes then went on to Bayern Munich on loan and then returned to his first club Manchester United in 1988 for a then club-record fee of £1.8 million. Hughes is also on our list of players who have played for Manchester United and Barca. The Englishman then joined Barca in 1995 for £1 million.

The English striker made 28 league appearances for FC Barca and scored four goals. While he made 95 league appearances for Barca and scored 25 goals.

The Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o played for FC Barca from 2004 to 2009 and Barca from 2013 to 2014.

The great striker made 145 league appearances for Barca and scored an amazing return of 108 goals. He then went onto a number of clubs before he joined Barca in 2013 under Jose Mourinho.

Because of his age (33), Eto’o made just 21 appearances and scored nine goals for Barca.

7. Ricardo Quaresma is one of the players who have played for Barca and Chelsea

He played for Barça (2003-04) and Chelsea (2009)

Ricardo Quaresma was meant to be the next big thing. The exciting and talented Portuguese attacker had all the skills and tricks to get past any defender. And let’s not forget that amazing cross he can whip in from the outside of his right foot. Similar to Cristiano Ronaldo, he never went on to become the player he could have been. After failed spells at FC Barca and Barca among many others, he now plays for Besiktas in the Turkish league/

However, he did put in some good performances for Portugal when he won the Euro 2016 trophy.

Quaresma played just five times for Barca in his failed loan spell at the club in 2009.

Deco played for Barça (2004-08) and Chelsea (2008-10)

Deco was a mesmerising playmaker in his prime. He could put in an inch-perfect pass to set up goals with ease. However, he never quite reached the heights of his previous Barca form at Barca. Deco did win the Premier League with Barca though in 2010.

5. Albert ‘Chapi’ Ferrer: One of the 10 common Barca-Chelsea players

Ferrer played for Barça (1990-98) and Chelsea (1998-03)

Albert Ferrer played as a right-back for FC Barca and FC Barca. The Spanish defender spent most of his career at FC Barca, rising through the youth ranks. He went on to make 204 league appearances for Barca and scored just one goal.

Ferrer then moved to England to join Barca in 1998 after a decade at Barca. He stuck true to his nature and stayed loyal at his second club Barca until he retired in 2003. Ferrer made 76 league appearances for Barca.

4. Eidur Gudjohnsen is one of the top players who have played for Barca and Chelsea

Eidur Gusjohnsen played for FC Barca (2000-2006) and Chelsea FC (2006-2009)

Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen was a legend at Stamford Bridge. Gudjohnsen made 186 league appearances for Barca over six years at the club and scored 54 league goals. That was quite a return. He formed a famous deadly striker partnership with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink during his years at Barca.

Eidur Gudjohnsen then moved to FC Barca in 2006 and made 72 league appearances for the Catalans although he only scored ten goals. Gudjohnsen will always be remembered for his time at Barca though.

Gudjohnsen is widely regarded as one of the best Barca strikers of all time.

3. Emmanuel Petit: One of the 10 common Barca-Chelsea players

Emmanuel Petit played for FC Barca (2000-2001) and Chelsea FC (2001-2004)

Frenchman Emmanuel Petit made only 23 league appearances for FC Barca before his move to Stamford Bridge. The former midfielder had been at Arsenal prior to his move to Barca but he could not replicate his form at the Catalans.

In 2001, Petit joined Barca for £7.5 million. The French midfielder enjoyed initial success at Barca and formed a solid midfield partnership with Lionel Messi. But injuries plagued him later on in his career before leaving in 2004. It would be the last club he played for as he announced his retirement shortly after leaving Barca.

Petit made 55 league appearances and scored two goals for Barca.

2. Pedro is one of the players who have played for Barca and Chelsea

Pedro played for FC Barca (2008 to 2015) and Chelsea FC (2015-2020)

The Spanish winger joined Barca late in the transfer window in August 2015 for £19 million from former club FC Barca.

The Spaniard enjoyed ten years at the Catalans as he rose through the youth ranks. Pedro finally made Barca’s first team in 2008 after playing for Barca B and C teams. He made 204 league appearances for Barca and scored 58 goals despite being on the bench for the majority of his time there.

Pedro has done relatively well at Barca since then. He has made 206 appearances for the Blues in all competition and scored 43 goals. He was particularly excellent in the 2016/17 season when Chelsea won the Premier League title.

Fabregas had enjoyed nine years at Arsenal before making the move to FC Barca. There, the Spanish midfielder made 96 league appearances for Barca and scored 28 goals from 2011 to 2014. However, much of his career at the Catalans was spent on the bench with players like Andreas Iniesta and Xavi dominating the midfield. Watch & Bet Here =>

Fabregas joined Barca in 2014

Fabregas then made a controversial switch to Barca in 2014 for only £25 million. Arsenal had the first right to buy him according to his contract, but the Gunners chose not to buy him. Fabregas had a highly successful first season at Barca after making a fantastic assist of the season in the first game. The wonderful assist, which is shown in the video below, was just one of many from Fabregas in the Premier League winning 2014/15 season. 

Fabregas did not have a fantastic season for Chelsea in the 2017/18 season. Chelsea finished fifth, missing out on a Champions League place, which was a major disappointment after Chelsea won the Premier League in the season prior.

However, on his day, Fabregas is still one of the best play-making midfielders on the planet. He is also third on the list of the top ten Barca players with most assists in the Premier League. He now plays for AS Monaco.
