While Jules Kounde’s future at Barcelona has recently drawn significant attention, Andreas Christensen, another Barça center-half, has surfaced as a target for Inter Milan
Christensen, 27, only recently joined Barça last summer when his contract with Chelsea expired and he was given a free transfer. In Xavi Hernandez’s system at Spotify Camp Nou, the Danish international has established himself as a key player and a “untouchable” for the team.
Clubs throughout Europe have taken notice of Christensen’s remarkable achievements this season as well as the financial condition of the Catalan club, even if Barcelona has absolutely no desire to trade him.
Teams in Italy are reportedly keeping an eye on the former Chelsea star, and other Premier League teams are also interested in him. And among the Serie A clubs, according to Di Marzio, Inter Milan has the greatest interest in Christensen.
Milan Skriniar, a stalwart for the Nerazzurri, is likely to leave this summer as he is scheduled to sign for PSG on a free transfer. As a result, they are searching for a replacement and have chosen Christensen as a candidate. Di Marzio continues, “But given their financial situation, if a big offer arrives they might be forced to study it.” Barcelona has no plans to sell Christensen in the summer.
However, it should be emphasised that Inter Milan is not in a particularly strong financial position and is unable to spend a lot of money on players. As a result, even though they might be interested in Christensen, it is highly doubtful that Barcelona will consider any bids for him, especially now that rumours about Kounde’s future are becoming more vocal.
