Arsenal and Barcelona are in talks over a deal for Philippe Coutinho which may involve Matteo Guendozi going the other way.
The Brazilian is out of favour at the Camp Nou and is on the hunt for a new club.
The Gunners have been eyeing for a top-level playmaker this season with Mesut Ozil’s future still up in the air.
Coutinho has been widely tipped to return to the Premier League and many clubs have been linked with the 28-year old.
On the other hand, Guendozi was deemed as a future club captain when he started the season under Unai Emery.
The 21-year old has fallen out of favour in Arteta’s squad since his childish actions at the Brighton game back in June.
Regardless of his attitude, the youngster has potential and will have plenty of suitors this summer with Barcelona leading the race for his signature.
Barcelona have been long-time admirers of Guendozi and are keen to get Coutinho off the wage bill.
