AC Milan has enquired about Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet

According to the clubs concerned, Clement Lenglet, a center-back for Barcelona, has joined Atletico Madrid on loan for the current campaign, without any buying option. Spanish football will be where the 29-year-old plays for the first time in three years. Spreading out an estimated €32 million gross pay hit across the final two years of his contract, Lenglet is thought to have extended his contract with Barcelona by an additional season, until 2027.

Atletico’s agreement to a loan arrangement has depended on this. Moving to Los Colchoneros was something the French defender was eager to work under Diego Simeone. Though it seems like they are giving up on their dreams of signing David Hancko of Feyenoord and Piero Hincapie of Bayer Leverkusen, who were their top targets, they finally acquire the left-footed center defender they have been watching all summer.

Barca loans out struggling striker Roque and Lenglet

After failing to make an impression in his first few months at the club, Barcelona loaned forward Vitor Roque to fellow La Liga team Real Betis on Monday. Also, the Catalan behemoth loaned Clement Lenglet, a center back, to Atletico Madrid, a competitor for the crown.

Following his July 2023 signing with Barca for approximately 30 million euros ($33.5 million), Brazilian forward Roque arrived from Athletico Paranaense in January. Roque led Barcelona to victory in both La Liga and the Champions League while he scored two goals in 16 appearances for the team.

In a statement, FC Barcelona said, “Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and Real Betis for the loan of Vitor Roque until June 30, 2025, with the option of another year.”
