The transfer window that Barcelona had hoped for has clearly not materialized, and deadline day is quickly approaching. Now that the board was in charge, they had huge names leaving and several excellent new hires, so they were prepared for drastic changes. Sadly, they didn’t quite achieve any of their goals.
Nico Williams was Barcelona’s main summer transfer target, although he ultimately ignored the team’s approaches. Based on current knowledge, Luis Enrique’s men are willing to consider bids for Danilo Pereira. Despite starting 27 of the 34 games, he played last season on the coach’s orders, the Portuguese international is one of the team’s “discards” for 2024–2025 despite having a contract that expires in June 2025. His trade would fetch PSG some 5 million nets, given his current market worth of 8 million euros.
Barcelona reportedly interested in Danilo Pereira
According to Fabrice Hawkins, Danilo Pereira is being pursued by Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Porto in the last days of the summer transfer season. It was earlier claimed that the Portuguese had made Barca an offer for himself. But this was prior to Marc Bernal’s injury that ended his season.
Danilo is a central midfielder and defensive midfielder that can also play center back. Given that the player’s current contract with PSG only lasts one year, he should be easily accessible. Bajcetic of Liverpool is reportedly Barca’s top priority to sign on loan. They could choose a different course of action if they are unable to complete it.
