The signing of Haaland would not be easy considering Barcelona’s financial status.
Barcelona is keen to take Erling Haaland this year and they look confident of signing the Borussia Dortmund striker.
The Norwegian is set to join Barcelona, According to Lluis Carrasco, the campaign manager for Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s successful run for the presidency.
Haaland is currently the hot property among all European clubs and he is said to be a prime target for Laporta this summer. Meanwhile, the club is going through a financial crisis but they are still planning a deal for the Norwegian.
The signing of the Dortmund striker would not be easy as Europe’s biggest clubs are keen to take him.
Carrasco said on Gerard Romero’s ‘El Jijantes’ show, “Haaland is going to Barcelona.
“I know that the president loves him, he knows that he is a symbolic player, a reference, and a flagship of this project and he can dominate European football for the coming years.”
He then explained how Haaland would arrive as the star of Barcelona, before stating that “it wouldn’t be the case (if he were to move to) Real Madrid.”
