Barcelona appear to be edging closer to securing their second signing of the summer, with Swedish sensation Roony Bardghji reportedly completing the first part of his medical ahead of a move to the Camp Nou.
Roony Bardghji Set to Join Barcelona as Second Summer Signing
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the 18-year-old winger, currently on the books at FC Copenhagen, is on the verge of joining the Catalan giants.
The transfer, expected to cost around €2 million, is in its final stages, with formalities set to continue in the coming week.
Barcelona’s approach this summer has been measured and strategic—forced, in part, by the club’s ongoing financial constraints.
So far, they’ve only confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol, and have resisted the temptation to make knee-jerk signings. Instead, they’ve focused on long-term potential and smart investments.
Bardghji, widely regarded as one of Sweden’s most promising young talents, fits that profile perfectly.
Despite his age, he’s already impressed in the Danish Superliga and in European competition with Copenhagen, and Barca see him as a player who can develop into a future star.
While it remains unclear whether Bardghji will immediately join the first team or begin his Barcelona journey with Barca Atletic, the club’s interest reflects a broader plan to inject fresh youth into the squad.
At the same time, Barcelona continue to search for a high-profile addition on the left wing. English international Marcus Rashford is one of the names currently under serious consideration as the Catalans aim to reinforce their attack.
For now, however, the Bardghji deal is close to being finalized, and fans may not have to wait much longer for the official confirmation of Barca’s second summer signing.
With pre-season just around the corner, Barcelona are quietly but steadily building towards the 2025/26 campaign.
