Ferran Torres struggling to show his best for Barcelona this season.

The former Man City forward scored five goals and made one assist in 23 appearances in all competitions.

Due to his poor form, he has fallen down the pecking order behind Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, and Raphinha.

There have been rumours circling around his future even though the 22-year-old has four years left on his Barcelona contract.

Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the Spaniard who has scored only two goals in La Liga this campaign.

The player is currently suspended for two games and will be unavailable in Barcelona’s next game against Girona.

Manager Xavi believes the winger needs a goal to get out of this substandard form.

“Tomorrow he’s suspended. He is fine. Ferran always trains well. He never gives up. He is an example no matter how well or badly things go,” Xavi told reporters on Friday afternoon.

“He’s a guarantee because he gives his all. I have tremendous confidence in him. He lacks a goal but he trains well.”
