Barcelona have stepped up their transfer pursuit of 19‑year‑old Roony Bardghji, with the Catalan club holding “direct talks” with his representatives this week.

President Joan Laporta’s recent reassurance that Barca can “sign normally” appears to be translating into swift activity after the club already finalized deals for Joan Garcia and Nico Williams.

Bardghji, who emerged from FC Copenhagen’s academy and has drawn widespread attention since turning 16, suffered a cruciate ligament injury last spring.

He made his comeback in March and has appeared in roughly 243 minutes across six Superliga matches this season.

Despite the limited action, his blend of speed, dribbling flair, and technical ability—along with a memorable Champions League winner against Manchester United in November —has kept Europe’s elite watching.

Porto lodged an initial offer “two weeks ago,” though Copenhagen rejected it and continues negotiations.

Marseille is also in the mix, per reports from last week. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United, and Chelsea have regularly scouted the winger.

Barca’s approach, according to Fabrizio Romano, is independent of the Nico Williams deal—meaning Bardghji is firmly on the radar and not a backup plan to any other move.

With his Copenhagen contract expiring in December 2025, the time is ripe for a move that could shape his career and inject fresh energy into Barca’s attack.

For Barca supporters, this deal offers promise and excitement: a young winger with high ceiling, technical prowess, and a fearless mindset—exactly the kind of talent primed to thrive at Camp Nou.
