Barcelona Forward Ousmane Dembele Wanted On Loan By Liverpool

Liverpool FC have reportedly contacted Barcelona to take Ousmane Dembele on loan.

Ousmane Dembele has been with Barcelona since 2017 for a fee of €105 million, and ever since then, he had been riddled with injury issues every now and then. For the same reason, Barcelona might be very willing to give him away.

However, the Catalan club are more focused on selling him than giving him out of loan, like Liverpool want right now, according to Sport.

Up till now, he has had 74 caps for Barcelona, and has scored 9 goals and given 17 assists – along with winning 4 big trophies. The forward, even though he keeps getting injured every now and then, is a player of Barcelona quality – that one cannot deny. His assists have been important in scoring some tricky goals and knows how to play the defence on the other side.

However, in the 2019-20 campaign, Dembele had only 5 appearances due to injury concerns – a very low number indeed. For a player brought in for €105 million, he has not made the Blaugrana earn back much money.

Liverpool have thus swooped in with an offer for a season long loan, and are willing to pay his full salary for the season. But the Catalan club is still mulling over whether they want to sell him or give him on loan. Maybe with a loan, they can make back some money which they spent on the forward.
