Barcelona considering selling winger Raphinha in 2024

The Saudi team Al Hilal is still very much interested in attracting the Brazilian winger with a long-term, lucrative contract, even if FC Barcelona is keeping up its efforts to sign Raphinha with a contract extension. According to a recent source, the Saudi team has not given up on signing him and still views him as a marquee addition to their team, even if the player is determined to remain in Catalonia.

Raphinha would make a significant financial gain if she accepted the offer and relocated to Riyadh. Additionally, the Saudi team is promoting it as a means of maintaining his worldwide prominence. A transfer would enable Raphinha to play against Europe’s best once more, as Al Hilal is scheduled to play Real Madrid in the forthcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Al Hilal is also going through significant changes at the moment. After firing Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus, Al Hilal is apparently spending a lot of money to sign Simone Inzaghi, the coach of Inter Milan, who just guided his team past Barça in an unforgettable UEFA Champions League semifinal.

Raphinha is expected to leave the team this summer, though, according to a recent report that said Barca, who are struggling financially, “will listen to offers” for the winger because they think a multimillion-dollar sale may help them balance their books.

Al-Hilal is reportedly willing to pay the La Liga powerhouse’s asking price of €100 million (£85.7 million), which is the minimum amount they are reportedly willing to consider for Raphinha.

Al-Hilal was originally set on signing Mohamed Salah this summer, but now that he has extended his contract with Liverpool, the Saudi team is prepared to spend big money on Raphinha, who has been identified as a potential replacement.

The report also claims that Al-Hilal could offer Raphinha a five-year contract worth about €44 million (£37 million) a season, which would be a substantial raise over his current Barcelona salary and place him among the highest-paid football players in the world.

The Premier League clubs that have also been rumored to be interested have been hurt by Al-Hilal’s purported wish to spend a lot of money on Raphinha this summer.
