Barcelona are on their way to making a complete squad overhaul over the 2020 summer, if things don’t improve.
Quique Setien has already made it clear that the current imbalances in the squad will need to be fixed.
Of course, that would mean a few names walking out of Camp Nou as well to make way for the new. While a couple of the arrivals could be big, Barca could also strike bargain deals like Lazio defender, Luis Felipe.
A report from Football Espana suggests that Bayern Munich are also monitoring the 22-year-old, who is valued at around €25m. Barca desperately needs to improve their centre-back lineup, given how poorly their current set of players have performed.
Gerard Pique is the natural leader on the right side but Clement Lenglet has failed to impress on several occasions. His compatriot, Samuel Umtiti has completely fallen out of the rotation and for good reason. The two are simply not cutting it for the Blaugrana which is why new names are constantly getting linked.
Barca are also thought to be pursuing a deal for Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte who is also a Frenchman. Both he and Felipe could be key additions to the squads next season, the latter being more of a backup option.
