According to Sport, Barcelona are interested in Lisandro Martinez and sporting director Mateu Alemany may travel to Amsterdam to open talks with Ajax to find out their position on a possible transfer.
The Argentian defender has been linked with the Catalan giants for several years. The centre-back has been impressive for a while now and Barcelona have good reports on him from the games they have watched him live.
Lisandro Martinez will see his contract expiring in 2025 and Barcelona would love to see him at Camp Nou at the end of this season.
Ajax would likely command a decent fee and signing another central defender is not among Barça’s priorities at the moment.
