Amidst continued interest in Liverpool striker Luis Diaz, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has previously acknowledged that his team is searching for a winger. When the Colombian joined Anfield in January 2022 from FC Porto, the Camp Nou team admired him.

Spanish media state that Diaz is willing to wait for the La Liga giants because it is his “dream” to play for the team, but he already knows he will only sign for Barcelona if Raphinha leaves. There are persistent rumours that Diaz is interested in moving, and it has been stated that Liverpool will allow him to leave if a certain requirement is fulfilled.

Luis Diaz waits for dream summer transfer as £76m sacrifice is sanctioned by Barcelona

Raphinha is reportedly the only player that Barcelona would consider selling for 90 million euros, or £76 million, but if this amount were offered, they would be willing to give up the former Leeds United winger. Raphinha is thought to be a good replacement; therefore, it is said that his departure would free up finances for the “Diaz operation.”

“We will study what else is needed with Hansi Flick,” Laporta said at the beginning of this month, via ESPN, after confirming his plan to sign Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix on loan again from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, respectively. However, there is no guarantee that Barcelona will be able to put an enticing transfer fee on the table for Liverpool to consider this summer.
