Barcelona’s midfield is lacking players since Oriol Romeu is going back to Girona and star midfielder Frenkie de Jong has not been given a return date. That may be the reason the Catalans have been considering a move for N’Golo Kante, a seasoned midfielder. Unfortunately for them, though, Al Ittihad, the player’s current club, declared the former Chelsea player non-transferable.

Danilo Pereira has been made available to Barcelona as the team frantically attempts to add a new midfield player before the transfer window closes. The Catalan team has reportedly received an offer from Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes for the PSG midfield player, according to Gerard Romero. Danilo joined PSG nearly four years ago after previously playing for FC Porto.

This week, Barcelona, the dominant team in La Liga, received a message from Paris Saint-Germain expressing interest in signing a midfield player. Barcelona insider Gerard Romero makes reference to Danilo Pereira as the player in question and says as much.

Danilo is said to have made a direct approach to the Camp Nou brass amid persistent rumours tying the team to a move for a new deep-lying midfield option. Super agency Jorge Mendes recently contacted Deco and company to see if they were interested in a trade for the 32-year-old. Gerard Romero, the aforementioned, confirmed this in a statement on his official Twitch site.
