Sergi Canos has been linked with a move back to Barcelona.
The Spaniard has spent seven seasons with the Bees and has often played in different positions for the club.
Some Premier League players have been linked with Barcelona in the past few months, many of whom represent Chelsea.
The 25-year-old winger has just one-year remaining on his contract with the option to extend for another season.
According to reports, Barcelona has been offered the chance to get their former player for just £8.5m.
But Brentford manager Thomas Frank believes it’s more of a rumour at this moment.

“Chris [Wickham, Brentford’s communications director] said it to me this morning, it came as a little bit of a surprise for me!” Frank admitted.
“I think Sergi is a brilliant player, we all know he’s got a past there. What is a rumour or what is a little bit of truth in it, honestly I don’t know.
“I guess if there’s more into it, Phil [Giles, director of football] will knock on my door and tell me.”
