Sergio Aguero is likely to announce his retirement very soon.

The 33-year old forward is expected to call time on his football career due to his heart problem.

He was taken to the hospital during Barca’s 1-1 draw against Alaves as he experienced several chest pains and breathing difficulties.

Later he was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia and was ruled out for the next three months.

Famous Spanish journalist Gerard Romero has revealed that the Argentine would be forced to retire due to his heart trouble.

“About Kun Aguero I don’t know anything. I spoke to him the other day and what came out is not certain,” Xavi told reporters after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Espanyol.

“We don’t have this information. We are in touch with him and we will follow the evolution of what he had and hopefully he can keep playing football. This is the information I have. I don’t know where it came from [the news about Aguero’s retirement].”
