It’s done. Norwich City’s teenage sensation Ajay Tavares is expected to join FC Barcelona after Fabrizio Romano gave the deal his signature “Here we go” stamp. At 16, Tavares is a winger who has already joined the Canaries’ Under-18 team, making him one of the most gifted young players in England.
The player and Barcelona had previously struck a verbal agreement after they had been negotiating a deal for a while. But the sale had not been completed due to bureaucratic problems. FIFA has authorised the operation; however, those processes have already been completed. Consequently, Tavares has been authorised to finalise his move to Barcelona.
Arriving in Barcelona on Sunday and finishing his physical on Monday is the plan for the 16-year-old attacker. Tavares is supposed to start training with Barça. Start adjusting as soon as possible and start doing sports in the middle of next week.
Barcelona’s latest signing gets the ‘Here we Go’
According to Diario Sport, Tavares has been cleared to travel to Barcelona and undergo a medical examination with the Catalan powerhouses. FIFA is pleased that the agreement, which has been in the works for a little while, appears to have been finalised and that Tavares will join Barcelona.
The talented 16-year-old winger has been a member of Norwich’s Under-18 squad. According to Sport, his Portuguese passport has enabled him to relocate to Barcelona before his 18th birthday.
Following the arrival of Patricio Pacifico, Juwensley Onstein, and Hamza Abdelkarim during the winter transfer window, Tavares will be the newest young player to join the team. In an effort to keep adding the most promising young players in the sport, Barcelona is also reportedly looking to sign Jesse Bisiwu.
