As reported by us earlier, the interest from Barcelona is getting stronger.
They are still in talks with Valencia striker Rodrigo, and have now ditched Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Aubamenyang is out of the picture since Arsenal wanted at least 50 million pounds for their striker and that’s too much for Barcelona.
They desperately need Rodrigo to replace Luis Suarez, who is out injured currently.Â
However, with the transfer window about to close, Barcelona will have act fast. Setien had praised Rodrigo previously as well and now they are offering more money for the striker.
“He’s an extraordinary footballer and tomorrow he could give us problems – he is a key player for their team,” Setien had said.Â
“I would have preferred if he wasn’t playing, but we know that if he’s not there then there is another player. Valencia have a great squad with or without Rodrigo.”
“Valencia is a great team, without doubt, with very good footballers. They will make things difficult for us and it will be truly a match of great level.Â
Only 3 days are remaining, so it is now or never for the Catalans!
