Three years after joining Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski has shown to be a valuable member of the team. A major contributor to Barcelona’s recent success, the attacker has scored more than 100 goals in just 147 competitive games.

Having scored 27 goals in 34 La Liga games, Lewandowski is also coming off of his most successful season. Because of the forward’s impressive accomplishments, Barcelona is willing to give him the task of captaining the team for the upcoming campaign.

However, Barcelona could have to deal with another Saudi Arabian raid for Lewandowski as the team prepares for the upcoming campaign. Saudi teams are keeping an eye on Lewandowski’s circumstances and want to know if the attacker is prepared to make a big transfer to the Middle East, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Due to his age, the Polish striker is not part of Barcelona’s long-term plans, despite being the highest-paid Barcelona star with Frenkie de Jong. This has been a recurring topic ever since the club’s salary cap troubles.

Barcelona’s stance on Lewandowski’s future

According to Lewandowski’s most recent statement, he is eager to play for Barcelona in the upcoming campaign. It seems that for things to change, Saudi Arabia would need to entice him with an incredible offer. Barcelona, on the other hand, is happy with Lewandowski and has no issues allowing him to stay on until at least 2026, when his contract expires.

Nonetheless, if the Pole is serious about relocating to Saudi Arabia this summer, the Blaugrana are willing to let him depart. However, Barça is eager to get a huge price if they decide to let go of the seasoned striker, especially because the team paid a lot of money to get him.

However, the player himself also has the last say because he is content at Barcelona and won’t be eager to go until Saudi Arabia makes him a significant deal. Saudi Arabian teams have spent a lot of money on elite players in recent years, but it is unclear if they will be prepared to make a similar wager on Lewandowski this summer.
