Djibril Sidibe is one of the best right-backs in France’s top-flight.

Barcelona are in the process of rebuilding the squad since Xavi’s entry into the setup.

According to Sport, Catalan giants are planning a move for Djibril Sidibe who plays in Ligue 1. Barcelona recently added Dani Alves to boost their squad.

Barca are looking for further reinforcements in the right-back department. The 29-year-old is one of the two alternatives due to his contract situation with Monaco.

Djibril Sidibe is one of the best right-backs in France’s top-flight. He also helped Monaco to win Ligue 1 during the 2016/17 campaign and did well in the Champions League as well. His powerpack performances helped him to earn a national callup for France in 2018.

Sidibe is a versatile player. He plays mostly full-back, however, he can be used as a mid-fielder. Barcelona needs players who can play in different areas when needed in order to strengthen their pack.

The 29-year-old returned to Monaco last summer. The right-back has made 160 appearances for AS Monaco in all competitions.
