FC Barcelona has set a minimum asking price of €70 million for midfielder Fermín Lopez amid serious interest from Chelsea, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo.

Hansi Flick Reluctant to Lose Fermin Lopez as Transfer Deadline Looms

The Catalan club remains calm about the situation but has made it clear they will not entertain any offers below their valuation for the highly rated 22-year-old.

Chelsea have expressed strong interest in Lopez, contacting the player’s camp directly and giving him a 48-hour deadline to decide whether he wants to join the Premier League side.

The Blues are prepared to open formal talks with Barça only if Lopez agrees to the move.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is against losing Lopez, whom the club views as a key young talent and an important part of their future.

However, with the club needing to address Financial Fair Play (FFP) concerns, a sale at the right price could help them comply with La Liga’s financial regulations.

Lopez, a product of Barca’s La Masia academy, recently extended his contract until 2029 and has publicly expressed his desire to stay at the club.

However, Chelsea’s offer of a prominent role under coach Enzo Maresca and a significant salary increase has reportedly made the player reconsider his options.

While some sources claim Chelsea has already submitted a €50 million bid, Barcelona has not accepted any offer below their €70 million valuation.

The Blaugrana are holding firm on their price, aware that Lopez’s departure could resolve their FFP issues but reluctant to lose a player of his potential.

The coming hours will be critical as Lopez weighs his future. Should he choose to leave, it would mark one of the biggest transfers of the summer window.
