Barcelona are not in the mood to sign Athletic Bilbao striker Nico Williams. The Catalan giants are refusing to give up on a possible deal for the Spaniard. Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao seemingly convinced the attacker to remain at San Mames.
Barcelona are heavily linked with the 22-year-old striker. The Catalan giants seemingly identified him as their leading target for the summer market. As per reports, the Euro 2024 winner decided to spend at least one more season with Athletic.

Nico Williams has a €55m release clause in his current deal. Barcelona are believed to be willing to activate, but he would still have to agree to move to the Catalan capital.
Williams has been outstanding for his club and his nation. He helped his club to secure qualification for the 2024-25 Europa League. he was key in Spain’s triumph in Euro 2024.
As per SPORT, Athletic remains ‘very optimistic’, with his club is confident that they have done enough to prevent Williams from making a departure this summer.
