Barcelona’s choice to sell Sergino Dest and replace him with Hector Bellerin from Arsenal received criticism from the very beginning
Prior to the start of the new season, Barcelona enjoyed a fantastic summer transfer window, signing players like Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Andreas Christensen.
The La Masia graduate was given a one-year deal to cover the right-back position, but he hasn’t been able to make an impact in the minutes that have been allotted to him. Less than six months after his appointment, his poor performances have sparked discussions about a potential exit. Fabrizio Romano reported that Bellerin is anticipated to remain at Barcelona till the completion of the current campaign.
The recent meeting between the board and the player’s entourage ended amicably. Bellerin’s willingness to remain was expressed and reinforced throughout the discussion, and a departure in January has been ruled out.
The 27-year-old hasn’t played much for the Catalans since his arrival since Xavi prefers to use Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde at right-back instead of him. This season, he has only appeared in three La Liga games, starting just once.
It has been alleged that the administration would concentrate on fortifying the right-back position during the upcoming summer window since they believe it urgently needs reinforcement.
