Robert Lewandowski has etched his name in Champions League history, becoming just the third player to reach the 100-goal milestone in the competition.

The Polish striker’s landmark achievement came during Barcelona’s commanding 3-0 victory over previously unbeaten Brest, a win that propelled them to second place in the new single-league format.
The 35-year-old converted an early penalty to claim his 100th Champions League goal and capped off the evening with a stoppage-time strike to make it 101.

His feat places him in the illustrious company of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who sit atop the scoring charts with 140 and 129 goals, respectively.
Neither of them currently plays in the competition, leaving Lewandowski as the sole active member of the “100 Club.”
“I am very happy—it’s a lovely number to bring up,” Lewandowski told Movistar with a smile.
“Years ago, I didn’t think I could score more than 100 goals in the Champions League. To join Messi and Ronaldo… I guess they are good, right?” he joked.
Lewandowski achieved the milestone in just 125 matches, quicker than Ronaldo (137 games) and only slightly behind Messi (123).
His coach, Hansi Flick, who worked with him during their time at Bayern Munich, was full of praise.
“Robert is a phenomenon,” Flick said.
“I’ve seen him break every record at Bayern, and now he’s doing the same here. It’s a privilege to coach someone so driven and consistent.
Of course, his teammates deserve credit for helping him reach this incredible achievement.”
Barcelona’s win was further bolstered by Dani Olmo’s second-half goal, as the team bounced back from a shaky run in La Liga.
With matches against Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, and Atalanta looming, Flick emphasized the importance of securing a top-eight finish to avoid the February knockout playoffs.
“This performance showed what we are capable of,” Flick said.
“But there’s more work to be done. Dortmund will be a tough test, but I believe in this team’s hunger and ability to deliver when it matters.”
For Lewandowski, the journey to 100 goals is a testament to his talent and determination—and with his form showing no signs of slowing down, more records may soon follow.
