Barcelona must soon decide the future of striker Robert Lewandowski, whose contract is nearing its end.

Barcelona Striker Lewandowski Admits: “I Don’t Know Where I Want to Play”

The veteran forward, linked with a move to MLS side Chicago Fire, has revealed that his next step remains completely open.

In an interview Sport with Polish journalist Bogdan Rymanowski, Lewandowski confirmed no agreement is close.

“I still have time to make a decision,” he stated.

“Right now, I don’t know where I want to play. There’s no need to think about it yet.

I don’t know which direction to take, but I don’t have any pressure.”

He emphasized that financial terms are not his primary concern, noting, “It’s not about cutting my salary in half.”

Instead, he said the choice will depend on Barcelona’s sporting project and his own desires.

The 35-year-old is no longer an automatic starter for the Catalan club, adding complexity to the upcoming negotiations.

Reflecting on a challenging season, Lewandowski admitted injury issues hampered his start.

“I was injured twice. It was also difficult for me to get in, knowing how many games await us,” he explained.

He aims to be fully fit for the decisive second half of the campaign.

Despite the uncertainty, his ambitions for this season remain high.

“I would like to have it all: to qualify for the World Cup, the Spanish title, the Champions League,” Lewandowski declared.

He openly acknowledged the ticking clock, adding, “I am aware that these are my last years in football.”

Barcelona’s leadership now must weigh their plans against the wishes of a legendary player who still dreams of lifting major trophies before his career concludes.
