Barcelona thrashed Osasuna 4-0 on Sunday

In a game with merciless cutting edge from the Catalans, after failing to convert any of their opportunities against the Turkish team only 72 hours earlier, Ferran Torres grabbed a double and Ousmane Dembele earned a brace of assists.

In defence, it was also a landmark day for Gerard Pique, who made his 600th appearance for the club.

It didn’t take long for the hosts to open the scoring and assist Pique celebrate, with Ferran scoring from the penalty spot inside a quarter-hour after Gavi was hauled down inside the area.

Only seven minutes later, he added a second as Dembele set him up with a perfectly weighted pass for Ferran to sneak beneath Sergio Herrera in the Osasuna goal.

Dembele would add another assist before the half-hour mark, making him the team’s joint-most prolific assist provider this season, when he set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

On the right wing, the Frenchman cut back on himself and delivered a cross into the path of the former Arsenal man, who nudged the ball into the back of the net.

Substitute Riqui Puig added a fourth goal for Barcelona after following up on his own long-range strike.
