According to reports, Manchester United is prepared to meet Barcelona’s €50 million release provision for Ousmane Dembele

According to Todo Fichajes, the France international is firmly on Man Utd’s radar ahead of the summer, and it appears they are willing to pay the fee necessary to initiate a transfer deal.

According to the report, Ousmane Dembele is the Red Devils’ top goal, so spending €50 million may prove to be a wise decision.

Dembele can play in a variety of attacking spots and, on his best days, is a superb talent with pace, skill, and an eye for a goal or an assist.

It is unclear whether Dembele himself would be prepared to join United or if he would prefer to continue at Barca given that neither team is what it once was.

Both teams currently appear to be in transition, but to be fair, the Catalan giants are unquestionably closer to winning the championship. However, United defeated Barcelona in the Europa League and have already won the Carabao Cup this year.

Two significant returns have helped Barcelona advance of their El Clasico matchup with Real Madrid

Tomorrow night’s high-stakes La Liga match between La Blaugrana and their former rivals takes place at Camp Nou. Xavi’s team presently leads the race for the championship by nine points.

If the home team wins, they will be in position to win the championship for the first time since 2019 and Xavi is predicted to insert Ronald Araujo right away into the starting lineup.

The Uruguayan international will resume his rivalry with Vinicius Junior after missing last weekend’s victory over Athletic Club due to a suspension.

Following an injury setback, Xavi has also called up Spanish forward Ansu Fati, but he will probably serve as an impact replacement.

As Xavi looks to open the same defensive unit that battled to a 1-0 Copa del Rey semifinal first leg victory over Real Madrid at the beginning of March, Marcos Alonso is also expected to play. As the season comes to a close, Barcelona will be looking to end it on a good note.

Franck Kessie continues to be linked with a move away from Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the midfielder is a target for Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

Antonio Conte wants to sign the 26-year-old midfielder for Spurs. Tottenham needs to add more depth to their midfield and Kessie could be a useful addition. He will add presence and defensive cover to the side.

Erik ten Hag wants to add him as an ideal partner for Casemiro in the middle of the park. As for Chelsea, Potter picks Barcelona player as an alternative to N’Golo Kante.

Kessie has the physicality to succeed in English football and it remains to be seen whether Barcelona are prepared to cash in on him.

The 26-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at Barcelona and the opportunity to move to the Premier League could be an attractive option for him. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

Ansu Fati refuses to leave Barcelona despite Premier League links

On Tuesday, Catalonia was abuzz about Joan Laporta and Mateu Alemany’s journey to Porto, where they were meeting with super agent Jorge Mendes

In the meeting, a number of players were addressed, but Ansu Fati was probably the subject that received the most attention. Mendes has reportedly put Ansu Fati on the market, specifically pitching his talents to Premier League clubs, according to the most recent Condis report. The player, however, is unwilling to quit right now.

The starlet from La Masia is in a difficult position. Fati has resumed regular field activity this season after a protracted and arduous battle with injuries. His influence on video games has not exactly been noteworthy. Laporta and Xavi would prefer to be patient with the player in a perfect world because there is no doubt about his ability. It is challenging, but not impossible, to get past the emotional barrier.

However, the Catalans’ problem is the pressing requirement for player sales. Fati is one of the initial possibilities on the list as the administration pushes for at least one, if not more, departures from the forward line. Thus, the young player’s destiny at the club will depend on how well he performs over the coming few months. Fati is facing a life or death decision because more subpar efforts will guarantee him a new club in the summer.

The 20-year-old has made 23 La Liga appearances for Barcelona this season and has three goals and three helpers. He has only produced one significant opportunity in the league thus far, and his key throw production is less than one every two games.

It will be interesting to see in June whether Barcelona decides to let the player go forever or only on a loan, if under pressure to do so. The latter would obviously be the wiser choice to avoid any remorse in the future.

Barcelona offers a two year contract extension deal to Sergio Busquets

Barcelona offers a two year contract extension deal to Sergio Busquets
bildbyran

Josep Maria Orobitg, the agent for Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets, met with Jordi Cruyff and Mateu Alemany, the club’s directors, to talk about the player’s contract extension

He has been given a two-year deal by Barça, with the second year of the agreement being optional contingent on appearances. According to additional claims, the club captain would only receive net wages of about €3–4 million annually, a substantial decrease from his previous compensation.

Less than four months remain on the 34-year-present old’s Barcelona contract. Additionally, manager Xavi Hernandez wants to hang onto his skipper for another season because the seasoned player is still a crucial part of the overall picture. Busquets, who has offers from teams like Inter Miami and Al Nassr, has not yet received an official contract offer.

The La Masia graduate will receive a deal, Barcelona president Joan Laporta said during a media appearance last week. Now it appears that discussions have begun in that direction after Orobitg met with Cruyff and Alemany, the two club directors, to speak about the extension of the former captain of Spain.

However, a fresh agreement will only be feasible if Busquets is prepared to take a significant pay cut. One of Barça’s top earners, the Spaniard cannot be kept on his current pay because the team must reduce its wage budget by at least €150 million. This season, Busquets has participated in 32 games for Barcelona in all categories, recording three assists in the process.

The midfielder has turned on some assured performances at the base of the midfield, despite the fact that he is not getting any younger. Recently, Xavi switched to using four central midfielders, which has benefited his skipper. If he is prepared to take a pay cut and continue working at Camp Nou for another year, only time will tell.

Barca seems to be getting closer to making their first acquisition of the summer hiring period

The La Liga leaders have been watching Athletico Paranaense forward Vitor Roque for a while now, and they caught a glimpse of him at the recent U20 Sudamericano in Colombia, where he tied for the tournament’s most goal scoring with Brazil.

Barcelona has made headway in recent days on a deal that would see Roque join this summer as Robert Lewandowski’s backup, with an eye towards the 18-year-old eventually succeeding the Polish international.

Roque’s interest isn’t limited to Barca, though; the teen’s interest in Arsenal has also been verified. Roque has recently expressed his wish to play for Barcelona despite this.

Sport reports that Roque is getting closer to joining Barca after turning down an offer from the Premier League’s top team. Roque is said to have only been interested in joining the Blaugrana after learning of their desire.

Officials from Barcelona will be overjoyed by this information as they begin to prepare Xavi Hernandez’s team for the upcoming season.

At least one Manchester City star is still a target for Barcelona this summer

Despite improving their financial operations in the last 12 months, La Blaugrana are expected to face restrictions in the trade market once more.

Despite their prior interest in City ace Bernardo Silva, this is probably going to result in another wave of free transfers. At the beginning of the 2022–23 season, Barca was rumoured to be interested in signing Silva, but they refused to pay City’s €80 million asking price.

A bid for Silva appears to be “impossible,” according to reports from Mundo Deportivo, and Barcelona will rekindle its prior contacts with clubmate Ilkay Gundogan as a substitute.

Gundogan, who scored the game-winning goal on the final day of the previous season to win the Premier League championship, has been a key component of City’s success in recent years. However, his contract expires in June.

The German international may receive a 12-month extension from City at the Etihad Stadium. Barca will, however, counter that and attempt to sign the seasoned midfielder.

Frenkie De Jong is expected to stay at Camp Nou.

Frenkie De Jong is heavily linked with Manchester United and there were some rumours that De Jong will leave the club in the upcoming summer.

The Dutchman is playing his fourth season at Camp Nou. He has arguably reached this best performance level since his move from Ajax in 2019.

Speaking to RAC1 (as per Sport), De Jong admitted his excitement as potential success this season.

“I’ve never won the league (at Barcelona). It’s my fourth year here and it’s the closest I’ve been, but there’s a lot to play for.

“We are going for all possible titles. We have an advantage in La Liga and the Copa del Rey, and with a very good team and squad. Let’s go for both.”

De Jong also added, “I knew I wanted to continue at Barcelona (last summer) and I have not changed my mind.

“I have always dreamed of playing for Barca and I want to succeed here. I am very happy, comfortable, and I feel that I am participating in the game more.”

The 25-year-old is expected to stay at Camp Nou. De Jong would focus on the next assignments of Barcelona now.

Barcelona moving ahead with talks of signing Brazilian forward Vitor Roque

By now, it is crystal obvious that Barcelona wants to sign Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense in the summer

The striker, who recently turned 18, is thought to be one of the most exciting young footballers emerging from South America, and he has drawn attention from teams like Chelsea, West Ham United, and PSG.

However, Barcelona seems to be in the best position to acquire the young player, as the player recently stated that he is prepared to join the Blaugrana. The issue of coming to an arrangement with Athletico Paranaense for his signing remains, though. Furthermore, it appears that the Catalan giants have made some strides in that regard.

Toni Juanmarti claims that even though the process is challenging, negotiations between Barcelona and Athletico Paranaense regarding the transfer of Roque have progressed. The second part of the negotiations is believed to have begun after the declaration and acknowledgement of interest from the respective clubs. Roque will play for Barcelona next season, Athletico internal reports, as the talks are progressing well.

Barcelona has made it clear to the Brazilian club that they plan to sign Roque in a transaction that will cost more than €40 million, including variables, despite the Fair Play restrictions placed on them. Athletico, on the other hand, is prepared to make some accommodations and provide some flexibility with regard to the conditions of the agreement, including lowering the transfer fee’s fixed amount and approving the potential for a loan agreement this summer.

Barcelona would then only need to make space for his salary in the calculations for the following season, eliminating the need to factor in his transfer fee for the 2024–25 campaign. Given Athletico’s willingness to be so accommodating, it appears only a question of time before the two parties sign the contract for Roque. Given that Barcelona needs to cut their salary bill by €200 million, it would also imply that they might make one significant sale during the summer.
