According to a fresh segment on Twitch, journalist Gerard Romero revealed that Barcelona wants to re-sign Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It has been added that the Catalan giants want to bring him back to the Nou Camp if either Memphis Depay or Franck Kessie leaves the club this month.
The Gabon international was outstanding for Barca in his short spell in 2022. He was one of the top scorers for the club. Meanwhile, he moved to Chelsea in the summer. He didn’t get regular games under Graham Potter. The veteran forward has scored three goals and provided one assist in 15 matches for Chelsea this season.
Aubameyang’s contract at Stamford Bridge will expire in the summer of 2024. Atletico Madrid is also interested in this player. After losing Felix to Chelsea, they might plan for this player.
Aubamayang scored 13 goals in 24 matches for Barcelona last season across all competitions. He can add depth to Xavi’s attack. It would be interesting to see how Xavi plan his signing as they already have Robert Lewandowski for a regular starting spot.
