Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl is no clearer on his next step.
Barcelona are keen to get the signature of Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich. They are on standby over a possible summer move. Catalan giants are long term admirers of the German international.
Kimmich is unconvinced on a contract extension beyond 2025. His contract will expire next summer and Bayern are working on a renewal.
After completing his contract next year, he can leave the club as a free agent. He can openly discuss a free transfer with a non-German club in winter.
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl is no clearer on his next step. He said via Diario AS, “He has a year left on his contract with us. We have decided to postpone any talks until he returns from his holidays.”
If Bundesliga giants are unable to agree a renewal package, they will look to get some funds through his signing. Bayern are likely to make a pitch to sell Kimmich to a rival. Barcelona may still struggle to reach €50m asking price.
