Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets is not very convinced about the Catalan club winning the La Liga title this season.
After Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid, the chances of Barcelona winning the title seems to have lowered, according to Busquets, who spoke to Movistar about this.
“Dropping two points make it even harder for us now in our battle to win the league because it leave is with a lot of ground to make up but we will continue to fight until it is not mathematically possible for us to win it. We know it’s going to be difficult but we’ll try.”
“We were up against a very difficult opponent but we competed well and dominated the game and created chances but maybe we were punished by the two penalties that were awarded against us. When a great team puts two goals past you, you have to give more to win. It was a shame.”
“We were in a good situation before football was put on hold because we had a significant lead but we’ve dropped points since then. We have had games in which we’ve played worse than we did tonight, I think we competed well tonight. For one reason or another we were unable to take all three points and we will be a little further away from Madrid if they win. We have to focus on ourselves and what we do and try to win our games.”
