Barcelona were knocked out by Frankfurt in the Europa League.

Both the sides finished with a 1-1 draw in their first leg in Germany and played the return leg at Camp Nou yesterday.

Thousands of Eintracht Frankfurt fans poured into Barcelona and the match eventually ended 3-2 in favour of the Bundesliga side.

Xavi’s men were knocked out of the competition but Garcia highlights the important thing Xavi brought to Barcelona.

Garcia said: “Above all the unity he has brought to the team. From the start he explained the ideas he had and the team is with him to the death.”

“That is being shown in our actions. We are coming from two more complicated games but the solutions he brings to us in every match are very important for us.”

“I am very happy due to the direction the team is going, we have improved a lot. Against Levante we fought to the end. In Frankfurt it was harder than we expected, but we are looking forward to the match. We have prepared for [today] and I hope that Camp Nou is full.”
