Ernesto Valverde held his last pre-coordinate question and answer session on 2019 on Friday in front of Barcelona’s match with Alaves at the Camp Nou. The Barcelona boss discussed Saturday’s adversaries.
Ernesto Valverde spoke about Sergio Busquets.
“He trained normally today and he no longer has a fever. Tomorrow he’ll be better and we think he can play.”
The Barcelona boss further spoke on Alaves.
“We want to close out the year on a high note and get the three points against a side that defend well and go out on the counterattack. Alavés are not on a great run right now, but we’ve had a tough time beating them in the last few years.”
Valverde was also asked about the upcoming January transfer window and whether Barca would be doing anything during that time.
“I’m really happy with the players I’ve got. I don’t expect any modifications,” he said confidently.
He also talked about the club’s upcoming Christmas plans.
“We will maintain the structure of previous years. We will have a week off. Those who live far away will have one more day. Everyone has a work plan for these days.”
