Ferran Torres shining after his difficult start to his La liga career at Barcelona

Torres acknowledged that he had a negative attitude towards his own performances at Barcelona earlier this season, which caused his form to drop

With a convincing victory against Cadiz on Sunday, Barcelona restored its eight-point lead atop the La Liga standings, despite Xavi Hernandez’s decision to rest some important members of the first squad.

In order to give squad players a chance to shine, Ronald Araujo, Franck Kessie, and Raphinha were all benched for Thursday’s Europa League knockout stage second leg against Manchester United.

Although Barcelona’s star versus Cadiz was Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia played admirably in the centre of defence for the team. The 22-year-old has struggled this season for the Blaugrana after being benched in favour of players like Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele.

Torres, on the other hand, was in outstanding form against Cadiz and has placed his claim for a starting spot in this week’s match against Manchester United. This is because Barcelona is expected to abandon its four-midfielder system as a result of Pedri’s injury and Gavi’s suspension.

Torres claimed that he has been receiving assistance to clear his headspace and that he currently feels that his mental health is considerably better. In the upcoming weeks, Barcelona supporters will be looking for more of the same from Torres as they believe the former Manchester City player has turned a corner at Catalonia.
