Pablo Zabaleta wants his former teammate at Camp Nou.

Sergio Aguero has been tipped by his former Man City Pablo Zabaleta to join the Catalan giants when leaves Etihad in the summer.

City’s all-time goalscorer has seen his game time reduced this season with injuries and coronavirus and a change in tactics from Pep Guardiola.

Despite his niggling injuries this season, Zabaleta believes Aguero still has two years left at the top level of football.

“I see him at Barcelona,” Zabaleta said on a Spanish radio show (via Sport).

“I’m sure that, as soon as he gets well, he will go back to being the player we have seen for years.

“If he can be physically fit and not have injuries that prevent him from being consistent throughout the season, he can still have at least two good years.

“He is a player who is decisive within the penalty area. We have already seen him during these years in England, scoring more than 20 goals per season and very important goals.”

“They are all writing Barca, Barca, Barca,” he said.

“Let’s hold on a little, have a look. Stop. We are still with City.”
