Gerard Pique Pessimistic About Barcelona Title Hopes After 0-0 Sevilla Draw

Quique Setien believes there are some positives from Barcelona dropping points against Sevilla on Friday night.

Real Madrid won 3-0 against Valencia while Barca travelled away to Ramos Sanchez Pizjuan to only collect a 0-0 draw. Now, the Galacticos have the come level on points with a game in hand.

Gerard Pique told the press that the league title was out of Barcelona’s hands and he does not see Real dropping points through the remaining 10 games. Setien addressed the defender’s comment and said, “I think it’s the frustration of the moment. Maybe he thinks differently tomorrow.”

The Barca boss was also happy that his side got something out of the game. He added, “I’m not satisfied, but one point is still more than nothing. We knew that it was going to be almost impossible to win all our remaining games.”

“There are many games left. It will be very difficult for both Madrid and us to win all the points. You have to be optimistic, the reality is that we do not depend on ourselves but this is going to change, there are still many games left.”

“We started well, but as minutes passed, we gave them life. In the second half we didn’t play well, we got disorganised. It was difficult for us to find the right spaces today.”

Surely, the title fight is expected to go down to the wire. Barcelona’s head to head record against Real are against them this season but they still rank higher in goal difference.
