Griezmann warns Barcelona to buckle up for El Classico

Barcelona were held to a boring draw yesterday once again.

The Catalans were slow and passive much like the rest of their performances this season. Despite having a fearful trio of Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann and Lionel Messi; the Catalans were completely sub-par.

It has pretty much been the theme of the season, the players have not been able to play the Barca way. Their chance creation has been low and the players have not been doing so well in their passing game. It has more or less been the individual brilliance of Messi that has saved them time and time again.

With the El Classico approaching, the players have to buckle up a lot. It is going to take them their highest form of performance to deliver the goods against Real Madrid and Griezmann has now warned the team to pull up their socks.

“I think both teams had their moments. When we equalised, we were playing well – full of confidence and creating chances.

“Then they levelled and had their chances to take the game. They also had control of the ball.

“It’s a shame to draw but we gave everything we had. We have to learn from this game and improve when we meet Real Madrid in El Clásico”.
