During the January transfer window, Barcelona intends to let go of Ansu Fati. Although Fati has battled for playing time, Hansi Flick originally planned to have him on the squad. His standing among the forwards has drastically declined, and he currently behind Pau Victor. Because of his difficulties getting back into form, Fati’s market value has also drastically decreased, going from a peak of €80 million to just €15 million.
Joan Laporta, Deco, and Fati’s agent, Jorge Mendes, met Thursday to talk about the player’s future. If Fati wants to go for a new beginning somewhere else, all parties agreed to make it easier for him to leave in January. Fati has a number of choices. While European teams, especially Sevilla, are thinking about taking on a loan agreement to aid with their goal-scoring issues, a transfer to Saudi Arabia is a possibility.
Barcelona is reportedly ready to sell Ansu Fati in January
The head coach of Barcelona, Hansi Flick, spoke candidly on Tuesday about the challenging phase of Ansu Fati’s career. Naturally, wide-man Ansu has had his name make headlines again in recent days. Sadly for the 22-year-old, however, a lot of this comes for completely unfavorable reasons.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick did not even call up Ansu for either of the team’s games in the Spanish Super Cup, even though he was now fully recovered. In fact, Toni Fernández, 16, was picked over the attacker for last week’s semi-final matchup with Athletic Club. Speaking to the media prior to his team’s Copa del Rey match against Real Betis on Wednesday, it was therefore not shocking that boss Flick immediately mentioned Ansu.
