Barcelona have rolled out a 6-step plan for combating the spread of the viral infection and infiltrating sports in Barcelona Football club.

It has been declared that the Champions League tie against Napoli at Camp Nou is to be played behind closed doors. The next two games in La Liga will also continue to be played in an empty stadium. Here is the 6 step action plan the Catalan club have formulated:

Step 1: For the next two weeks, all professional, youth and amateur games involving the club will take place behind closed doors, with all ticket holders to receive refunds.

Step 2: The Barça Academy World Cup tournament, which includes events in China, Japan, Jordan, Dubai and Kuwait to be played in Easter Week, has been cancelled.

Step 3: All planned trips outside the city for youth teams for various tournaments and friendlies in the months of March and April have been cancelled.

Step 4: All activities to take place at the Camp Nou for the 22 March fixture against Leganes have been cancelled. They include photo calls, mascot meetings and supporters’ club events.

Step 5: Barça Foundation events are also limited. The Bekaa festival, outreach programme for schools in Lebanon, Solidària Masia events and local hospital visits have all been stopped for the time being.

Step 6: Internally, the rest of the club’s activities will continue as normal after all Barcelona staff were given an informative session on preventative hygiene measures. Any work-related travel has also been curtailed unless absolutely essential.

Barcelona will see a clash with Mallorca on Saturday – however, with no fans allowed inside.
