Joan Laporta credits Xavi for club's success

Barcelona players has been doing pretty well at the World Cup with Spain.

Eight Barcelona players were included in the Spain’s 25-man World Cup list and players like Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Gavi, Pedri, and Ferran Torres have started for Spain.

Club president Joan Laporta happy with Barcelona’s progress under Xavi and credits the manager for his part in Spain’s success.

“I think they’re playing fantastically well and at Barcelona we’re proud to see our players in the team,” Laporta said at a tournament held on Monday.

“There are great players there who are impressing the world and most of them are playing for Barcelona.

“We’re proud to see these players performing well.

“Spain are one of the favourites to win the World Cup, along with Brazil and France.

“Luis Enrique has made good decisions and picked a unite with players who mostly play for Barcelona.

“That makes it easier to adapt. Xavi deserves a lot of credit because he has got many of these players playing well at Barcelona.”
