Jordi Alba is yet to make a decision on his future.

The left-back has played more than 450 games for Barcelona winning the Champions League, six La Liga titles, five Copa del Rey titles, four Spanish Super Cups and the Club World Cup.

But the veteran defender started only 14 league games this season compared to 30 last season.

He was recently linked with a move to Atletico Madrid but he doesn’t fancy playing against his former club.

Alba further explains that leaving Barcelona was the right thing to do.

“Whenever I have said that I wanted to stay, it was because I felt that way. Being selfish, I could have stayed,” Alba explained to Radio Marca.

“I had a one-year contract and an optional one. But assessing everything, the situation, already losing prominence on the pitch, despite the fact that when I played, I felt very good.

“I think it was the best time to leave. I think I’ve done well. You never want to leave Barcelona, but I think it was the right and opportune moment.”
