Ousmane Dembele was booed by Barcelona fans during Napoli draw.

The Frenchman has five months left on his contract and the club has failed to tie him down to a new contract and will likely leave Camp Nou in the summer.

He has played 13 games across all competitions this term.

Dembele played a role in the 1-1 draw over Napoli and was booed every time he touched the ball.

Jordi Cryuff has urged the fans to support every player that’s wearing the shirt.

“You have to support all the players who wear the shirt, from the first day to the last,” Cruyff said. “Sometimes things don’t go the way you want, Dembélé didn’t renew but if the coach uses him, you have to support him when he plays.”

He added: “I can understand the public, but I hope Dembélé doesn’t get whistled anymore, it causes us to play 10 against 12, we have to support our players.”

Manager Xavi after the game said: “The crowd didn’t listen to me. But in the end it turned into applause. Now we have whistled him and that’s it. It’s over. The news is that the whistles have turned into applause,” as quoted by Daily Mail.
