Presently, German player Karim Adeyemi is loaned at Liefering from RB Salzburg and Barcelona is on a keen lookout for him, hoping to gain him during the January 2020 transfer.
But Barca is not alone. Adeyemi is also being scouted by most of the big clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, among others, so there’s definitely competition there.
The newest additions have been Arsenal and Liverpool so far. This season, 17 year old striker Adeyemi has scored 8 goals while being on loan in Austrian Bundesliga 2, and he has made 13 appearances in matches. The star kid has also put the ball in the net thrice for RB Salzburg, the team who loaned him to Liefering, while playing in the UEFA Youth League.
Liverpool first had contact with Adeyemi during the Youth League itself. Barcelona’s academy director Patrick Kluivert, has been favouring him for quite some time now. However, just as Barcelona noticed him, so did Arsenal and Liverpool and are now hot on his trail. Borussia Dortmund is also joining the scout, and it’s likely that more clubs will follow – especially now that the transfer window of January 2020 is coming out.Â
When it comes to Barcelona acquiring him, they intend to develop Adeyemi’s involvement with the Barca B side. However, this would lead to a guarantee of La Liga activity for him.
