Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann has distanced himself from reports that he is having serious issues with captain Lionel Messi. Since the 28-year-old joined Barcelona from rivals Atletico Madrid, the Frenchman has been impressive and has also established himself in the first team. So far this season in the Spanish La Liga, Antoine Griezmann has played 22 games and has netted seven goals for the reigning champions.
But there have been reports that Antoine Griezmann is not happy at Barcelona with France Football claiming that the Frenchman stated that his teammates at Barcelona are jealous of him winning the 2018 World Cup with France. Erika who is Antoine Griezmann’s wife was also said to have claimed that she prefers life in Madrid than living in Catalonia
According to Daily Star, Antoine Griezmann’s media team rubbished the reports claiming the striker has never spoken with France Football. “The statements that appear do not exist,” Griezmann’s media crew are said to have issued.
Meanwhile a lot of responsibility would now be put on the french since Barcelona recently announced that fellow teammate Ousmane Dembele would be out from the squad till the end of the season after a successful surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his proximal hamstring in his right thigh.
