Lionel Messi’s brother made some gruesome remarks on Barcelona.

Since his departure from Barcelona in 2021, Messi has been linked with a return to Camp Nou where he helped the club win 35 trophies in his 20-year spell.

But Messi’s brother Matias Mess claims that a return to Barcelona is off the cards unless president Joan Laporta is forced out.

He further went on to blast the Barcelona fanbase claiming that they supported Laporta over his brother.

Messi agreed to a contract extension but Barcelona was in a deep financial crisis and could not keep hold of their most prized asset.

Matias said: “I have a SPORT cutting that says ‘Messi should return to Barcelona’ and I’ve put underneath it ‘Hahaha’.

“We are not going back to Barcelona, and if we do, we are going to have a good clearout, kicking-out, among others, Joan Laporta who is ungrateful after all that Messi did for Barcelona.”

Messi has seemed to have found his feet in Paris this season after bagging 15 goals and 14 assists from 24 games in all competitions.

Since then Lionel Messi’s brother has apologized for his remarks against Barcelona.

“I want to apologize for what I said on social media, I was just joking with my son and friends. How can I think like that about a club as great as Barcelona is, which has given so much to my family and Leo. I want to say sorry to everyone, specifically to all Barcelona fans,” he wrote.
