Man United has presented Barcelona with a swap proposal as they step up their efforts to sign De Jong.
Man United and Barcelona are now busy in the swap deal. The Red Devils are keen to get the signature of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. They were heavily linked with the Dutchman in past one year.
As per reports, Man United have reportedly offered Antony in a potential deal for Frenkie de Jong. Erik ten Hag wants to reunite with his former Ajax player. He wanted to get him on board since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2022.
Meanwhile, the Dutchman has always been keen to stay. United tried hard to get the signature of de Jong last transfer window but failed. The 27-year-old is still on the wishlist of Man United.
As per Spanish outlet El Nacional, the Premier League club has presented Barcelona with a swap proposal as they step up their efforts to sign De Jong.
The Netherlands international would complete a switch to Man United while Antony would head in the opposite direction. The Red Devils have offered a swap deal because they are reluctant to meet Barcelona’s demands for an outright transfer.
Antony has struggled under Erik ten Hag and he can find better chances at Camp Nou. The 24-year-old scored eight goals and provided three assists in 44 appearances during his first season. The Brazilian netted three goals and three assists in 38 matches last season.
