Man United have made the first move in their pursuit of Barcelona’s Lopez during the summer transfer window.
Manchester United are keen to get a signature of Fermin Lopez. The Premier League giants have reportedly submitted a £25.4m bid for Barcelona midfielder.
The Barca man has been outstanding for the club and he was in great touch during the 2023-24 season. The 21-year-old has featured in 42 matches across all competitions. Lopez has scored 11 goals and also provided an assist.
His brilliant performance helped him to earn a callup for Spain for this summer’s Euro 2024 in Germany. Luis de la Fuente’s side will be looking for continental glory.
The Barca midfielder only made his debut on the international stage earlier this month and he played 28 minutes of Spain’s 5-0 friendly thrashing of Andorra.
As per reports of Catalan outlet SPORT, the Red Devils have made the first move in their pursuit of Barcelona’s Lopez during the summer transfer window.
The report adds that Man United have submitted an initial bid of £25.4m for the 21-year-old and he has proven himself in La Liga this season. Erik ten Hag is a huge admirer of Lopez and his ability to break into the box from midfield to score goals.
