Marcus Rashford has recovered from sickness and will face Chelsea on Tuesday night, according to sources. Barcelona’s on-loan attacker has already wreaked havoc on English soil this season, scoring twice at Newcastle United in September.

And he’ll get another chance to do so at Stamford Bridge this week, after recovering from a bout of illness in time for the Champions League match. Rashford missed Barcelona’s return to the Nou Camp on Saturday, when they defeated Athletic Club 4-0.

According to ESPN, he has been back in training for the past two days, preparing for his comeback to play. Rashford has been in spectacular form since leaving Manchester United in the summer. The 28-year-old has six goals and eight assists in 16 appearances in all competitions this season. And it’s no surprise that Barcelona want to exercise their £26.4 million purchase option at the conclusion of the season.

Marcus Rashford returns with Barcelona to face his favorite rival

According to Mundo Deportivo, Marcus Rashford, who is now totally fit, will return to Stamford Bridge with Barcelona to play Chelsea, his favourite opponents against whom he has scored the most goals.

Rashford has six goals and five assists in all competitions against Chelsea, which matches his record against Newcastle United, who have surrendered seven goals and four assists. He’ll be keen to add to that record when he plays for Barcelona tonight.

His performances against Chelsea continued last season, when he spent the second part of the season on loan at Aston Villa, where he assisted twice in a win against the Blues.

Rashford has had an excellent start at Barcelona, scoring twice in the Champions League opener against Newcastle. In 16 games in all competitions this season, he has six goals and nine assists, with four goals and two assists in the Champions League.

Everything points to the Englishman loving the opportunity to return to Stamford Bridge, so let’s hope he plays well and helps Barcelona win in a familiar setting.
