Juventus have opened direct talks with Robert Lewandowski’s representatives as the veteran striker edges closer to a Barcelona exit.

Lewandowski’s agents hold talks with Juventus and Milan over summer move

The Polish forward’s contract expires in June, and although the Catalan club have offered him an extension, the proposal includes a significant pay cut that has thrown his future into serious doubt.

At 37, Lewandowski remains a prolific goalscorer, but Barcelona’s financial struggles mean they want him to sacrifice a large portion of his salary to stay at Spotify Camp Nou.

So far, the striker has not agreed to those terms, and uncertainty now surrounds his next move.

Juventus are ready to pounce. The Serie A side expect Dusan Vlahovic to leave this summer, and they view Lewandowski as a major upgrade in attack.

Club officials have already met with the player’s agent, Pini Zahavi, to present their project.

The Italian giants believe they can strike a deal, especially if they offer a better financial package than Barcelona’s current proposal.

But Juventus face competition from another Italian powerhouse. Milan have also spoken to Zahavi in recent weeks.

The Rossoneri need a new striker for next season and are prepared to go head-to-head with their Serie A rivals to secure Lewandowski’s signature.

At this stage, the Polish international looks more likely to leave than stay in Catalonia. His departure would open the door for a host of suitors, with Juventus and Milan leading the chase.

Both clubs see the veteran number nine as a game-changing addition, and they will push hard to convince him in the coming weeks.

For now, Lewandowski’s future remains unresolved, but a summer move away from Barcelona grows more probable by the day.
