Barcelona are looking to offload Nelson Semedo and have found the perfect buyers in the Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves have plenty of funds to spend after selling Diogo Jota to Liverpool for roughly £40m.

They won’t receive the entire sum upfront but can bank on it make further additions. With the loss of Matt Doherty this summer, Nuno Santo is looking to add to his right wingback position. He already failed to get Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Arsenal but might have found the perfect option in Semedo.

The 26-year-old has struggled to get going since coming to Barca and has been now made expendable by Ronald Koeman. He is still young and raring to get going at another club. Luckily, Wolves already has a strong Portuguese camp with the manager and majority of the squad filled of the same nationality.

Semedo will cost a decent sum of cash but will also add plenty of quality to the right flank. He is still lightning quick and technically good on the ball, kind of perfect to play the wingback role under Santo. With him gone, Barcelona can chase after right-backs of their choice like Norwich City’s Max Aarons or Ajax’s Sergino Dest.
